Boss Paul Trollope feels his Bristol Rovers side deserve their place in Johnstone's Paint Trophy final. Rovers defeated local rivals Bristol City 1-0 in the second leg to win the tie 1-0 on aggregate.
"The support we had was unbelievable and we're pleased to give the fans something to cheer about after many years of not so good times," he said.
"We haven't conceded a goal throughout the competition and I think that means that we're worthy finalists."
Trollope added: "Bristol City are a very good side and to beat them over two legs and to get to a final at a stadium like the Millennium Stadium is a fantastic achievement.
"We've always had belief that we can beat anyone on our day, and in the camp we were quietly confident that we had it in us to beat Bristol City."
Rovers will now travel to Cardiff on Sunday 1 April to face Doncaster in the final of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy.
