Bristol Rovers beat the transfer deadline to sign Rochdale striker Rickie Lambert. The clubs agreed a 200,000 fee and the 24-year-old was delighted to make the move to Rovers.
"My first thought when I heard about this move was Bristol Rovers is a big club and I wanted to be part of that," Lambert said on the club's website.
Rochdale beat the deadline to sign ex-Torquay defender James Sharp and Blackburn youngster Keith Barker.
The pair were handed deals until January.
Lambert, who turned down a new deal, was Dale's top scored last season with 22 goals in his first full campaign since his arrival from Stockport.
