Bristol City have released five players, including top goalscorer Darren Byfield, following their defeat in the Championship play-off final.

Eight-goal Byfield, striker Enoch Showumni and midfielder Alex Russell head the list of those released.

Youngster Martin Slocombe has also been let go and Tamas Vasko's one-year loan deal from Ujpest has expired.

But Chris Weale, Scott Murray, Stephen Henderson, Richard Keogh and Jordan Walker have all been offered new deals.
