Bristol City captain Louis Carey is expected to miss another game after failing to recover from a foot injury. Manager Gary Johnson hoped the 31-year-old defender would be able to return for this weekend's game at Colchester United.
Johnson told BBC Radio Bristol: "We thought there'd be every chance of him being close but it might have come just too soon for him.
"He will travel with us so we'll wait and see how he settles down."
