Sheffield Wednesday had hoped to take Andrews on loan again |
Bristol City boss Gary Johnson has signed Coventry striker Wayne Andrews on a month's loan. The former Watford and Colchester man, 29, recently returned from a two-month loan stint at Sheffield Wednesday.
"Wayne has power and pace, and can play on the right wing or as a centre forward," Johnson told City's website.
"Wednesday tried to take him back there, but Coventry didn't want him loaned out to another Championship club so that has worked out well for us."
Andrews joined Coventry from Crystal Palace in June 2006, but has only made four substitute appearances for the Sky Blues.
One of those was in an FA Cup tie, so he is cup-tied and unable to feature in the competition for City.
