Murray was a crowd favourite at City

City have also signed Tony Rougier from Brentford and midfielder Darren Caskey from Notts County.

Former Tottenham man Caskey has had his contract, which was due to expire in the summer, cancelled by Notts.

Murray joined Reading for �650,000 in July last year but rejoins City on a three-year deal after failing to make an impact at the Madejski Stadium.

He had been touted for a Scotland call-up in his previous stint with City.
