Bristol City boss Danny Wilson expects Liam Rosenior to leave the club after failing to report for pre-season training. Rosenior, 18, had been offered a new deal by the club but expressed a wish to leave.
But Wilson was expecting Rosenior to work attend pre-season with the Robins until he found a new club.
However, following the youngsters failure to attend the first day of pre-season training on Monday, Wilson has made it clear Rosenior will definitely be leaving as soon as possible.
"I have no idea which club he is going to, but it is his decision and we have to get on with it," Wilson told the club's official website.
"I am very disappointed but there are rules in place to ensure we receive compensation we will be prepared to fight for every penny we can get.
"Liam has come through our Academy and the club has invested alot in him."
Rosenior has previously trained with West Ham and Chelsea.
