Brighton defender Marcos Painter believes new signing Vicente will need time to get used to the Championship.
The Spanish winger joined the Seagulls last week after 11 years with Valencia.
Painter, 25, told BBC Sussex: "There will be certain things he may need to adjust to but that's taking nothing away from him as a player.
"He's used to playing at the highest level and maybe they get more time on the ball, but a player of his ability will have no problem adapting."
Painter added: "It's a great signing for us. I'm looking forward to playing with him and learning from him.

"It's an exciting time for all the players and the club."
Meanwhile, the former Swansea left-back believes the table-topping Seagulls must hit the ground running after the international break.
"We were playing some good football and built up momentum that we want to continue," he continued.
"With so many games packed in, we want to stay where we are in the league. It's an important month."
