Brighton boss Gus Poyet has confirmed he is looking into signing Cambridge United's Chris Holroyd to bolster his options in attack.

BBC Sussex reported last week that the 23-year-old striker, who has scored 25 goals in 49 appearances for the U's, was in Poyet's plans.

"He's one of the players on the list, up front," said Poyet.

"When you have a list, you have to place your priorities and he is one of them. We'll see him in a few days."
