Navarro could make his debut against Walsall on Saturday

Former MK Dons midfielder Alan Navarro has signed a two-year deal with Brighton and Hove Albion.

The 28-year-old has impressed Albion boss Russell Slade during pre-season.

Navarro told BBC Sussex :"I delighted to be here. I'm probably not quite there fitness-wise, but if I'm selected on Saturday I'll give it my all."

Navarro is boss Russell Slade's ninth signing while former Crystal Palace midfielder Jamie Smith is also set to sign a one-year deal.

Smith has impressed through pre-season while on trial.
