Dyke has been chairman of Brentford since January 2006
Brentford chairman Greg Dyke has warned that fans will eventually turn their back on the Premier League after branding the competition "farcical".
Dyke believes the growing foreign influence both on and off the pitch is bad for the game.
He told BBC London 94.9: "I think what's happening now is farcical.
"I think what's happened to Manchester City in the last couple of weeks is farcical. In the end the fans will walk away," Dyke added.
Brentford are hoping to benefit from Dyke's fears by trying a series of initiatives and ticket discounts to attract more fans to their League Two matches.
The Bees attempted to get neutral supporters to go to Griffin Park to watch their weekend clash with Dagenham & Redbridge as there were no Premier League and Championship matches due to international fixtures.
There is some wonderful football in the Premier League but it is international football now

The former director general of the BBC takes his share of the blame for the direction the Premier League has taken, but insists he now gains more pleasure from watching lower league football.
"I'm one of the people who was there when the Premier League was set up so I have some degree of guilt," he said.
"Premier League football is increasingly owned by people outside this country, managed by people outside this country and played by people from outside this country.
"I think we're [Brentford] much more like what football used to be. I was on the board at Manchester United for a few years when we won the treble and that sort of thing. But I honestly say I prefer going to Brentford now.
"It's real football. There is some wonderful football in the Premier League but it is international football now."
