Brentford make their sixth signing of the summer by bringing in midfielder/defender Adam Newton.

The 27-year-old will officially complete his move on 1 July when his contract with Peterborough expires.

Brentford boss Andy Scott told the club's website: "Adam is a player I have been tracking since January.

"He is equally comfortable playing at right-back or on the right side of midfield. He is athletic and is a very good signing for the club."
