Brentford manager Terry Butcher has completed a double swoop with the signings of defender Ben Starosta on loan and former MK Dons man Gary Smith. Starosta, 20, impressed during two pre-season friendlies with the Bees and has joined until January from Championship side Sheffield United.
Smith, who has signed a one-year contract, was released by MK Dons at the end of last season.
The 23-year-old midfielder has been a regular for the Bees in pre-season.
