Brentford have signed Colchester defender Garry Richards on a month's loan, reports BBC Essex. Richards has only played five games for the U's this season but scored the winner in his last appearance against Preston at the end of January.
Richards was a team-mate of Bees boss Scott Fitzgerald at Layer Road.
Meanwhile Fitzgerald has extended John Mousinho's contract until the summer of 2008 and loaned defender Darius Charles to Crawley until the end of April.
