Downes could be offered another role at Griffin Park |
Former Brentford boss Wally Downes could be offered a new position at the club after his sacking on Saturday. Downes was given the boot after defeat to Stockport left the struggling Bees with one win in 18 matches.
But Brentford director John McGlashan has hinted there could be another role for him at Griffin Park.
He said: "Wally has lots of talents that would be useful to us but it would be down to him whether he could accept another position at the club."
Downes' assistant Garry Thompson has been placed in charge of first-team affairs.
