Striker Thorne already has 11 goals this season for City

Bradford City manager Stuart McCall has denied that leading scorer Peter Thorne will be out for a month.

Reports claimed that the 35-year-old striker visited a specialist regarding his shoulder injury, but McCall has stated that is not the case.

McCall told BBC Radio Leeds: "He's tried to play through the pain but he needs to recover properly.

"But he should only need about 7-10 days rest to avoid contact and he should come back fresher."
