| Bradford have signed former Everton midfielder Scott Phelan, after he impressed on trial, playing in three of the Bantams' pre-season games. The 18-year-old, who did not feature for Everton's first team before his release from Goodison Park, has signed a one-year contract at Valley Parade. Boss Stuart McCall is now concentrating on finding a central defender. With Matthew Clarke, Simon Ainge and Damian Hopkins injured, City only have two senior centre-backs fit.
