Turnbull is an England youth international |
Bradford have signed Middlesbrough's England Youth international keeper Ross Turnbull on a month's loan. Boss Colin Todd swooped after problems with work permits and international clearance for his two new keepers - Paul Henderson and Donovan Ricketts.
Turnbull, 19, a product of Boro's youth system, is thus likely to be in goal for the Bantams' season opener against Hartlepool on Saturday.
He gained experience last season while on loan at Darlington and Barnsley.
Jamaican international Ricketts is still waiting for his work permit, while Australian Henderson was only due to fly in from his native country on Friday.
City were concerned that even if his international clearance had arrived, he would nevertheless be jet-lagged.
