Bournemouth sign West Ham keeper Marek Stech on loan
Stech is still awaiting his competitive debut for West Ham
Bournemouth have signed West Ham goalkeeper Marek Stech on loan after receiving special dispensation.
Stech, 19, has moved to Dean Court on an initial seven-day emergency loan.
The cash-strapped Cherries have been under a transfer embargo since February, while the Football League's window for loan signings is closed.
But with number one keeper Shwan Jalal and teenage back-up Dan Thomas both carrying injuries, boss Eddie Howe was given permission to sign a loan keeper.
Jalal has struggled with an ankle injury in recent weeks, which caused him to miss the recent FA Cup defeat by Notts County.
Although he returned for the league games against Barnet and Shrewsbury, he tore a calf muscle against the Shrews and was substituted.
Thomas, who came on for the last half-hour of that game, is himself struggling with a back problem.
Stech, who has played for the Czech Republic at youth levels, had a loan spell in League Two last season at Wycombe - and is set to make his Cherries debut at Morecambe on Saturday.
