Juanjo eyes Bournemouth contract

Bournemouth

Bournemouth trialist Juanjo says he would love to join the Cherries fight against relegation.

The 31-year-old impressed in a reserve outing on Tuesday and has been invited to extend his stay by boss Eddie Howe.

"I would love to come here. It's a lovely stadium, a lovely town and people speak highly of the club," Juanjo told the Bournemouth Daily Echo.

"I know the game here, I've probably played more in the UK than Spain. It's physical, but I think my game suits."

He added: "It was a really enjoyable game in spells and I felt I did quite well on the ball.

"I hope the people who were watching saw what I could do."
