Bournemouth have had a loan bid for Eastleigh winger Mark Marshall rejected by the Blue Square South club.

Marshall recently spent a spell on trial with the Cherries, following a similar three-week stint at Swindon.

Eastleigh manager Ian Baird told BBC Radio Solent: "Bournemouth wanted to take him for a month, but that's no good to us.

"They said he wouldn't get in their starting 11, and it's much better for Mark to be playing regularly here."
