Gowling and Hollands are among eight out-of-contract players
Bournemouth manager Kevin Bond is hoping a number of his first-team players will sign new contracts.
Striker Jo Kuffour, midfielder Danny Hollands and defender Josh Gowling are among those stalling on new deals.
"We've made them good offers and spoken to their agents. They're weighing up their options and thinking about it," Bond told BBC Radio Solent.
The cash-strapped Cherries remain in administration and face the prospect of a points deduction before next season.
Hollands and Gowling are out of contract at Dean Court this summer, as are defender Ryan Garry, versatile duo Shaun Cooper and Lee Bradbury, captain Darren Anderton, midfielder Marvin Bartley and striker Brett Pitman.
Bradbury and Garry have reportedly agreed in principle to sign new deals, though neither has put pen to paper.
Kuffour signed a two-year deal when he joined from Brentford last summer, so is under contract for another year.
"We can't really do more than that. You can't make them do something. You have to be patient and bide your time and hopefully they'll stay with us," Bond added.
Wales international teenager Sam Vokes was recently sold to Wolves to fund the Cherries' continued administration.
Bournemouth begin their League Two campaign against Gillingham at Dean Court on Saturday, 9 August.
