Anderton is staying with Bournemouth |
Former England international Darren Anderton has signed a new 12-month contract at Bournemouth. The midfielder, 35, made 31 appearances for the Cherries after joining in September and played a key role as they won their battle to avoid relegation.
Anderton, who won 30 England caps, hit six goals for Bournemouth and was also named the supporters' player of the year at Dean Court.
"It's terrific news for everybody at the club," boss Kevin Bond said.
Southampton-born Anderton has also played for Portsmouth, Tottenham, Birmingham and Wolves.
