Bournemouth have signed striker James Lawson on a month's loan from Southend. The 19-year-old has failed to make the breakthrough into the first team at the Championship club.
Also joining up with the Cherries on a month's loan is versatile Portsmouth midfielder Marc Wilson, 19, who can also play in defence.
But Simon Gillett and Matthew Connolly have left Dean Court after their loan deals ended, while Steve Claridge has left after his short-term deal expired.
Gillett and Connolly had been on loan from Southampton and Arsenal respectively, while 40-year-old Claridge made just one appearance - his 1,000th professional outing - after signing a month's contract in early December.
Lawson spent two weeks at Grimsby Town earlier this season but only made one substitute appearance for the Mariners before returning to Roots Hall.
Southend boss Steve Tilson told the club's website: "He's not getting any games here so it's better for him to go out and play and we'll monitor him."
