Boston United have signed Lincoln defender Chris Cryan and Rochdale midfielder Ernie Cooksey, and taken Barnsley striker Nathan Joynes on loan. The Pilgrims have taken over 25-year-old Cryan's contract, which runs to the end of the season.
Cooksey, 26, has signed a deal until the end of the season, while Joynes, 21, will spend a month at York Street.
But midfielder Chris Holland, 31, has left the Pilgrims to join Southport on an 18-month contract.
Boss Steve Evans told Boston's website: "When I was instructed to sell Lee Canoville the first player I considered in my mind to bring in was Colin.
"Ernie had two other Football League clubs vying for his services, so it ends a long chase by myself to get the boy.
"Chris had the option of joining Southport on a long-term contract and we thought it was only fair for him to move on."
