Bolton keeper Jussi Jaaskelainen and defender Ricardo Gardner have both signed new long-term deals.

The duo were both out of contract, but Jaaskelainen has penned a new four-year deal, while Gardner, 29, has committed himself for a further three years.

Jaaskelainen, 33, had been linked with a move away from Bolton as they fought relegation last season.

But they maintained their Premier League status and he will stay on at a club he joined in November 1997.

He had agreed the deal in principal last month and completed the formalities after returning to training after the summer break.

Jaaskelainen has played nearly 400 games for Bolton, while Gardner has featured in more than 300 matches since signing in 1998.
