Bolton have signed Portsmouth midfielder Matt Taylor on a three-and-a-half year deal for an undisclosed fee. The 26-year-old has started four league games this season and becomes Bolton's third recent arrival after the signings of Tamir Cohen and Gretar Steinsson.
"He's a proven Premier League performer who brings quality to our squad," boss Gary Megson told the club website.
"He attracted interest from several clubs and I'm delighted we've got him."

Taylor joined Portsmouth from Luton in 2002 and scored 29 goals in 204 appearances for the club.
Although he had made 15 appearances this term, 11 of those have been as a substitute.
Pompey manager Harry Redknapp said: "I wanted to keep him but he wants to play and Nico Kranjcar has been outstanding on the left side of midfield this season."
