Real Sociedad midfielder Mikel Alonso - the brother of Liverpool's Xabi - has joined Bolton on loan for next season. Sociedead, who were relegated last season, said there is an option for Alonso's move to be made permanent at the end of the loan period.
The 27-year-old midfielder has spent time with the Trotters on trial.
Alonso, who has spent most of his career at Sociedad, could take the place of Idan Tal, who is set to hold talks with Beitar Jerusalem.
