Blackpool defender Neil Eardley believes his inclusion in the Wales squad for their next two World Cup qualifiers will also benefit his club.
The 20-year-old, who has won nine caps, joined the Tangerines from Oldham for around £350,000 in August.
"It's nice to mix with the other lads who are playing at higher levels," Eardley told BBC Radio Lancashire.
"It can only make you a better player because you're working with coaches who've been in the game a long time."
The Llandudno-born player played for his country at under-17, 19 and 21 level before earning his first senior cap against Bulgaria in 2007.
His last call-up was against Russia in September where he was an unused substitute.
"It's nice to get away," said Eardley.
"It's also different playing with players who play in the Premier League because you can learn off them."
Team-mate David Vaughan has also been called into the squad for the games against Finland and Liechtenstein.
