Rotherham boss Alan Knill says an argument over 60 has cost defender Shaun Barker his future at the club. Barker, 23, is now a free agent has turned down two offers of a new contract and is set to join Blackpool.
Knill told BBC Radio Sheffield: "We are arguing over 60 which annoyed me. I thought the offer we made him was a good one.
"We're speaking to Blackpool to see if we can work out a deal for Shaun, if not then it will go to a tribunal."
Barker's agent is claiming a technicality will prevent the Millers from receiving a compensation fee, that will be contested at a tribunal later this month.
