The ex-Middlesbrough and Crystal Palace defender, 32, has not had his monthly contract renewed by boss Simon Grayson.

"Dean has been a great professional for the month he has been here but he'd been out of football a bit too long to make the step up for us," said Grayson.

"We have Jason Wilcox, Rob Edwards and Jamie Burns all fit again so we have three left-sided players who could slot in," Grayson told Blackpool's website.
