Midfielder Steven Nzonzi has signed a new five-year deal with Blackburn.
The French Under-21 international was voted the club's player of the year last season after joining from Amiens for an estimated fee of £500,000.
Nzonzi, 21, played 33 times and scored twice, including a swerving 30-yard strike against Everton in April.
Rovers chairman John Williams said: "We are delighted to secure Steven for the long term. He was outstanding last year and the new deal is richly deserved."
