Santa Cruz has spent the last month in his native Paraguay

Blackburn striker Roque Santa Cruz has played down speculation that he is seeking a move away from Ewood Park.

Manchester United, Manchester City and Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing the Paraguay international.

But Santa Cruz, 26, who scored 23 goals last season, says he is ready to continue his Blackburn career.

"A lot of people said my transfer to a bigger club was about to happen, but I live in the present and I'm focused on Blackburn," he told Paravision TV.

"I'm happy for the good season that I had and the important goals that I scored.

"I am motivated by the other teams' interest, but if I am not transferred then I want to have the best possible season at Blackburn."
