Midfielder Tugay's Blackburn contract ends this summer |
Blackburn midfielder Tugay believes he is worth another deal at the club. The 36-year-old's contract ends this summer and he insists he is still a capable performer in the Premiership.
"I think I can continue for two more years at this level," he said. "I am hoping to stay as the Premiership is where every player wants to be.
"The club has become like a second family to me. I am happy both on and off the pitch. There has never been any reason for me to want to leave here."
Tugay came on for the second half of Blackburn's 4-1 win over Charlton last time out and has made 37 outings so far this season.
He has been at Ewood Park since July 2001 when he signed for 1.3m from Scottish club Rangers.
