Blackburn have signed Faroe Islands Under-21 goalkeeper Gunnar Nielsen on a two-year deal with the option of a further year. Rovers agreed a "small fee" with Danish side BK Frem Copenhagen for the services of the shot-stopper.
Nielsen, who was on trial with Rovers in May, told the club website: "I am very pleased - it is a massive chance for me just to develop.
"I'm glad the manager and staff believe in me and I won't let them down."
