Bellamy has helped Blackburn reach the Uefa Cup |
Blackburn manager Mark Hughes says he has no reason to think striker Craig Bellamy will leave over the summer. Bellamy joined Rovers under a cloud last summer after falling out with boss Graeme Souness at Newcastle, but has flourished under Hughes' guidance.
"We want to keep our best players, not sell them," Hughes told the Lancashire Evening Telegraph.
"We're a top-six side and looking to kick on. I'm more than confident that Craig will be here next season."
Bellamy scored 17 goals in 26 league and Cup starts for Rovers this season and has been a consistent goalscorer throughout his career.
The pacy striker's volatile temperament has often proved his downfall but he seems to have settled well under fellow-Welshman Hughes.
