Blackburn Rovers have appointed former chief executive John Williams as chairman at Ewood Park. The move was carried out in conjunction with the trustees of former Blackburn owner, the late Jack Walker.
He succeeds Robert Coar, and trustees' spokesman Paul Egerton-Vernon was delighted with Williams' appointment.
"He will guide the board with similar vigour, enthusiasm and business acumen as he has always displayed in the eight years he has been at the club."
