Blackburn defender Ryan Nelsen has signed a new three-year contract which will keep him at the club until 2008. The 27-year-old New Zealand international joined Rovers in January on an 18-month contract from American Major League Soccer team DC United.
Manager Mark Hughes told the club's website: "Ryan performed exceptionally well last season. We are absolutely delighted he has signed a new deal.
"We look forward to Ryan playing a key role over the coming seasons."
