Jansen was involved in a motorbike accident |
Blackburn manager Graeme Souness has told Matt Jansen he can leave the club. Jansen, 26, suffered serious injuries in a road accident in 2002 and has struggled to recapture the form that earned him an England call-up.
Souness told the News of the World: "Matt is in the last year of his contract - he is our player until someone comes in with an offer."
"He needs games and right now there's Jon Stead, Paul Dickov, Dwight Yorke and Paul Gallagher in front of him."
Meanwhile, Blackburn are set to sign Frenchman Charles Coridon before the transfer deadline closes on Tuesday.
Available on a free transfer after being released by French club Lens, Coridon, 31, has been on trial at Ewood Park.
Souness said: "I'd like to add him to the squad. He impressed us and we hope to get a deal done."
