Jerome has scored 24 league goal for Blues since arriving in 2006
Birmingham City striker Cameron Jerome has heralded his long-range goal against Liverpool at Anfield as the best of his career.
The former Cardiff forward scored with a powerful 30-yard drive as Blues secured a 2-2 draw.
"To be honest I surprised myself. It's just one of those instinctive things," Jerome told BBC WM.
"I knew there were only a couple of minutes to go before half-time and I thought you've got to shoot to score."
It was Jerome's first goal of the season, and he is in no doubt where it ranks in his career so far.
That'll take some beating, I'd be happy if I scored a couple more of those

"That'll take some beating, I'd be happy if I scored a couple more of those," the 23-year-old said.
He was also delighted that strike partner Christian Benitez was on target, notching his first goal since joining the club in the summer.
"I've always said it's going to take him a little bit of time to settle in to English football.
"It's evident in the last couple of games he's been unlucky - [and that goal] will do his confidence some good."
Liverpool drew level in the match after winning a controversial penalty awarded when striker David Ngog went down over a challenge from Lee Carsley, but Jerome says he thought there was no contact.
"I think everyone's aggrieved with that [decision]. I was on the halfway line and I could see from miles away that he's gone to ground without any contact."
