Alex McLeish has now started with seven different striking combinations
Birmingham manager Alex McLeish says he wants greater contributions from his strikers after their draw at Derby took them to within two points of Wolves.
McLeish told BBC WM: "I thought we played better first half. Again there was a little bit of progress.
"We are looking to get more out of our strikers. We need our strikers to start firing.
"People have rightly said that we have some quality guys in there, but we need them to get firing."
McLeish said he understood why some of his players were upset that they failed to hold on to their lead at Pride Park. Blues were in front for an hour until Steve Davies's late equaliser.
"Liam Ridgewell was in there throwing a tantrum about how we'd thrown away two precious points.
"Him and big Radhi Jaidi, aided and abetted by the other three, big Maik Taylor and the two full backs, I thought they were stalwarts tonight.
"I felt sorry for them that we surrendered that lead. They can't head every single ball out of the box."
