Blues will get stronger - Jaidi

Radhi Jaidi feels Blues' youngsters will benefit from this season's experience

Birmingham defender Radhi Jaidi feels the club's young stars are learning a lot from the current relegation battle.

The Tunisian international is convinced that Blues will be a stronger side next season if they stay in the top flight.

"If we stay up then next year will be much, much better because the younger, quality players will have the experience," Jaidi told BBC WM.

Blues need to win their final two games at Fulham and at home to Blackburn to have a strong chance of surviving.

Defending - that's the whole team from the first striker to the goalkeeper

Alex McLeish's side have kept only three clean sheets all season. And Jaidi understands the need to do a better job defensively over the closing games.

"Defending - that's the whole team," he said. "From the first striker to the goalkeeper.

"But it's always about experience. That's what we need at the moment."

Jaidi has also pledged to carry on distracting opposition goalkeepers at free-kicks, a tactic that has already played a part in the recent goals scored against Everton and last week against Liverpool.
