David Sullivan insists Birmingham City is not for sale |
Birmingham City co-owner David Sullivan has hit out at speculation that he and the Gold brothers are ready to put the Premiership strugglers up for sale. He told the Birmingham Evening Mail there was no truth to rumours which appeared in weekend newspaper reports.
He said: "I can categorically state that neither myself, nor David and Ralph Gold, have spoken to anyone with regard to the sale of the club.
"I read this report and I was absolutely astounded by it."
Birmingham are currently third from bottom of the Premiership, three points below local rivals West Brom.
Sullivan said: "It is not in my nature, nor the Golds', to leave something at a troubled time.
"We all want to achieve something here and are working hard towards that aim."
