Bruce salutes Heskey and Pandiani
Steve Bruce
Birmingham manager Steve Bruce was full of praise for his goal-scoring strikers in the 2-1 win over Arsenal.

"It was an international finish by Emile Heskey," said Bruce.

"I have been saying for 10 months that he has been terrific and he has gone on to finish as our top goalscorer.

"Walter Pandiani did terrifically well," added Bruce who said he had not yet agreed a fee with Deportivo La Coruna to sign the striker permanently.

"Their president is asking for a lot of money at the moment and we will have to see what develops over the next few weeks," said Bruce.

"It's always nice to beat Arsenal and it's a great way to finish the season," added the Blues boss.

"We deserved the win although I didn't think we were going to get it when Bergkamp equalised."
