Larsson favours a move to Spain |
Birmingham say they are not trying to revive a deal for Henrik Larsson. The 32-year-old Sweden star, available on a free transfer after leaving Celtic, was offered a lucrative deal by Blues in January but refused to commit.
Co-owner David Sullivan insists the club have not renewed their interest in the striker, saying: "We've always thought he'd be going to Spain.
"We wouldn't be able to offer him the sort of deal he could get there anyway," he told the Birmingham Mail.
Sullivan added: "Why all this has started again I don't know because we've added Emile Heskey.
"If you've got him, Mikael Forssell and Henrik Larsson, which one is not going to start? They would all expect to."
