Bruce staggered by defeat
BRUCE'S VIEW
Birmingham boss Steve Bruce
Birmingham manager Steve Bruce could not believe his eyes as his team lost 5-3 at Middlesbrough.

"How we have been beaten by five staggers me, it's a kick in the teeth," he said.

"We were the better side throughout and created chance after chance - Schwarzer must have made five top-class saves at least in a quite unbelievable display.

"The only thing a manager cannot legislate for is individual errors and unfortunately errors led to goals."

Bruce did concede that it was one of the most entertaining games of any in the Premiership this season.

"For the neutral it must have been a great game of football to watch. At one stage I thought we were going to take our jumpers off, put them down in the middle of the pitch and say 'come on then'.

"But the result hurts and it sums up our weekend after we got stuck in traffic for eight hours coming up here yesterday."
