Berwick Rangers manager Alan McGonigal has brought in five new players with another three expected to join later in the week.

Midfielders Steven Bonar and John Dillon join from Stranraer and Stenhousemuir respectively, while Kevin Motion makes the move from Spartans.

Goalkeeper Ryan McGurk has also signed from Whitehill Welfare, and defender Jamie Ewart comes from Bonnyrigg Rose.

McGonigal has now signed seven players since taking over on 13 May.

His first move was to give 19-year-old former Gretna forward Fraser McLaren a one-year contract.

Then last week he paid �4000 to his former club Camelon for striker Jim Lister.

McGonigal has also begun a clear out at Shielfield Park, by releasing six players and telling three others to look for new clubs.
