Walker has three goals to his name already this season
Barrow joint-manager Dave Bayliss is refusing to get carried away by the club's excellent start to the season.
The Bluebirds lie third after Jason Walker's 88th-minute header made it three wins from their opening four games in the Blue Square Premier.
"It was a great win for us. It wasn't a brilliant performance, but we had to dig in and we got our rewards in the end," Bayliss told BBC Radio Cumbria.
"But it's too early to start looking at league tables just yet."
He added: "We know it's important to get as many wins as we can as early as we can.
If Jason Walker continues to perform like that, he'll have the scouts flocking here for him because he's got the lot as a footballer

"The table tends to level itself out after ten games so we are not too bothered about that at the moment."
Walker now has three goals to his name this season following his double in the 4-3 win at Altrincham. The 24-year-old Barrovian joined his hometown club from Morecambe in March 2007.
"Jason was a different class today," Bayliss said. "That's what we expect of him week-in, week-out.
"Out of all the players he's probably the most gifted, he's got the lot as a footballer but at times he's got to stop believing his own hype. Because he's from the area, I think he gets a bit carried away at times.
"But if he continues to perform like that, he'll have the scouts flocking here for him because he's got the lot as a footballer."
Bayliss also praised the performance of left-back Paul Black on his debut. The 18-year-old has signed a one-month loan deal from Oldham Athletic.
"I thought Paul was fantastic," he said. "He's only little but he's got a really big heart and you could see that today."
"He won his headers and his tackles and in a few years he'll be a regular in the Football League.
"It was a position we thought needed addressing and I think we've been proved right on his performance today."
