Filekovic can play at left-back or in central defence

Barnsley are set to sign Slovenian defender Suad Filekovic following a successful trial at Oakwell.

The 31-year-old has agreed a contract until the end of January and the club expects the deal to be completed early next week.

"He is an international defender who will bring stature and experience to our squad," said manager Mark Robins.

Filekovic will be the third new face brought in by Robins following loan deals for Julian Gray and Nathan Doyle.
