Campbell-Ryce has left Southend for an undisclosed fee |
Barnsley have signed Jamaica winger Jamal Campbell-Ryce for an undisclosed fee from Southend. Shrimpers boss Steve Tilson had revealed Barnsley's interest in the 24-year-old last weekend.
Meanwhile, Tykes striker Michael Coulson, 19, has joined non-league side Northwich Victoria on loan.
Campbell-Ryce's career has already taken in spells with Charlton, Leyton Orient, Wimbledon, Chesterfield, Rotherham, Colchester and Southend.
He was the subject of a transfer dispute between Rotherham and Southend in early 2006, which was eventually settled.
He made a total of 58 league appearances for the Shrimpers.
